Hotel Policies and Information at Blackbird Inn

Check-In Time, Check-Out Time and Late Arrivals

  • Check-in time is after 3:00 pm
    • If you plan to arrive before 3:00 pm, you may park in our on-site parking lot. We will be more than happy to store your luggage, and tell you about our favorite places to have lunch or to visit
    • If you plan to arrive after 7:00 pm, please call us at 707-226-2450 so that we may make special arrangements for your check-in
  • Check-out time is 12:00 noon

Guarantee and Payment Policy

  • At time of booking, we require a valid credit card to guarantee your reservation
  • Unless stated differently at time of reservation, we do not charge your credit card in advance
  • If paying with cash, a deposit equal to the room, tax and up to $100 per day towards incidentals will be collected at check-in
  • Please notify the hotel prior to arriving if you intend to pay for your stay with a gift certificate
  • Holidays, special events and group bookings have separate deposit and cancellation policies; please review our cancellation policy and contact the hotel directly for details

Seven Day Cancellation Policy

  • If you cancel your reservation seven days or more prior to your arrival date, there is no charge
  • If you cancel your reservation within seven days of your arrival date, or fail to cancel your reservation and fail to arrive, the first night, plus tax, will be billed to your credit card on file
  • Should you need to cancel your reservation, please call us at 707-226-2450

Group Reservations: Three or more rooms, either booked together or individually by parties travelling together, constitutes a group reservation. Group reservations may require payment in full at the time of booking and a 30 to 60-day cancellation policy. An additional group booking fee may be required. These policies supersede policies shown on an individually booked reservation. If you, or the parties you are travelling with, reserve three or more rooms, you will be contacted by the inn’s manager and a contract will be required.

Holiday or Special Event Periods: Reservations during special event or holiday periods are subject to a longer cancellation policy, which will be stated in the confirmation notes. Should you not cancel your reservation within the specified timeframe, you will be charged for all nights of your original reservation. Additionally, a minimum night stay may be required, and early departures will be charged for the minimum length of stay.

Extended Stays & Early Departure Policy

  • Reservations for seven days or more are subject to pre-payment of the entire amount at the time of reservation
  • A 14 day cancellation policy applies on extended stays
    • For all reservations cancelled 14 days or more before the date of arrival, your deposit will be refunded minus a $25 processing fee
    • Cancellations within 14 days of arrival, will forfeit 50% of the entire amount of the stay
    • Once checked-in, early departures are charged for the entire length of the original reservation

Additional Guests and Children

  • Room rates are based on single or double occupancy. If there is a third guest (over the age of five) staying in the room, there will be a $25 extra person nightly charge
  • Many of our rooms cannot accommodate more than two guests. Please contact us in advance to determine  whether the guestroom you selected can accomodate additional guests
  • If you should need a futon pad, please contact us immediately as we have a limited number available
  • If you are traveling with a child, please call us for assistance in selecting the best room for your party

Occupancy & Tourism Tax

  • Transient occupancy tax and a tourism tax is charged on the room rate only
  • Blackbird Inn does not require or assess any additional fees at this hotel such as a resort or amenity tax

Reservations Made Through Online Third Party Agencies Such As Expedia.com

  • We highly recommend that you reserve directly with the inn to receive the best rate, but you may use third-party agents such as Expedia.com
  • Should you need to cancel your reservation, you must do so through their booking website
  • If we need to contact you about important information regarding your reservation, we will be unable to do so as only the online travel agent has your contact information
  • Please call us at 707-226-2450 if you have any questions about your reservation

Guest Identification Required

  • Guests are required to present a valid identification at check-in that matches the name on the reservation as well as the credit card used to pay for the guestroom

Smoke-Free Inns

  • Blackbird Inn is 100% smoke-free
  • If smoking occurs, there will be a $200 cleaning fee per night added to your folio

Front Desk Hotel Safe Available

  • A safe is available at the front desk
  • Items checked into the front desk safe are available to access during the inn’s posted front desk hours
  • Upon checking an item in, you will receive a written receipt with the declared value
  • We cannot accept cash or items valued in excess of $2500 per room
  • We are not responsible for any items or valuables left in the guestroom

Dog Policy

  • We have one dog-friendly guestroom at the inn
  • An advance dog reservation is required and an additional non-refundable fee will be added to your folio

  • A service animal, as acknowledged by the American with Disabilities Act, is welcome to accompany their owner while staying at the inn
